If your new replacement key will not fit into place, is the wrong size, oriented incorrectly or will not accept the hinge pieces included, you have almost certainly selected the wrong hinge type or laptop model! Do not attempt to force any items into place since this can cause the key to break and render it useless! Contact our support team and our experts will be happy to help you find the compatible part!
If you have not received an order or shipment confirmation from us, please check the suggestions below to help you. All of our confirmation emails are provided automatically after ordering and when your products are shipped, so we can assure we haven’t forgotten about you!
- Check your spam and junk mail folders carefully! Some Gmail users report their spam filters are inadvertently marking our confirmation mailers as spam. If our emails have landed in your spam folder, simply add us as a trusted contact (mark message as ‘Not Spam’) or modify your junk mail filter settings to allow future emails to reach your inbox!
- Assure your email address provided is correct. If you’ve accidentally input a wrong email address during checkout, we won’t be able to deliver any emails to you! Please contact us and allow our service techs to check/update your email address and order details.
- Your email provider may be blocking us. We’re aware of a few email providers that are periodically blocking mail from us. These include email addresses ending in ‘@hotmail.com’, ‘@sbcglobal.net’, ‘@bellsouth.net’, ‘@att.net’ and ‘@cox.net’. We’re currently working with these providers to remove the email block on our domain. We suggest to contact us if you need assistance. Our support system is managed internally via our website and allows any user who logs in to view and work with our service techs!
If you are still unable to determine why our emails have not reached you, please contact us via our website form and we will check into your order details!
If a specific part is unavailable when selected, an estimated restock time will be displayed along with the option to sign on to our notification list if you’d like to be notified once it is available again**. Enter your email address where prompted, then click the ‘Email me When Available’ button. We’ll send an email alert immediately once the requested items are back in stock on our website!

**Our support team does not respond to direct inquiries requesting availability. Harassment of our customer service team regarding out of stock products will result in being blacklisted. Please check the product page for details on when a specific item will be restocked!
With each quantity purchased, you will receive everything required to replace and repair a broken or missing keyboard key! This includes:
- Key cap
- Hinge mechanism
- Rubber cup
- Metal brackets (specific keys only)
- Installation guides for your specific key type

Returns are only available for orders that have been successfully received. Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for orders that are missing or stolen after a confirmed delivery. We suggest our customers have orders shipped to a secure location to avoid any possibility of theft. We are unable to provide refunds or replacements for lost packages due to an incorrectly entered shipping address.

Some laptops utilize various different “hinge” mechanisms that attach the key cap to the keyboard. Although they look identical on the outside, removing a key cap can show some very different hardware underneath. For example, the image below depicts three of the same keyboard models from a Dell Latitude D630. However, the different hinge types are apparent once the key caps are removed.

Note the differences between the hinge mechanisms. When determining your hinge style, it is critical that you select the exact same type as your machine utilizes, otherwise your key replacement kit will not be compatible. If you are unsure, simply Contact Us to submit an image and we will eliminate the guesswork!
We can’t add items or upgrade shipping options after an order is placed. However, we can cancel the order or make simple changes such as recipient name or address spelling updates. Please contact us or send an email to cancel@quikfixlaptopkeys.com if you need to cancel an order before it is processed! Once orders are fulfilled and shipped, we are unable to make any further changes.
If your tracking number indicates ‘Shipment Received, Package Acceptance Pending’, this means your order has been picked up from our facility and is on its way to a USPS sorting center. This description can be confusing and lead customers to believe the package has not even been shipped, which is not the case. Your order has entered into the USPS system and is in transit to the destination.
During periods of high volume (particularly during October through December), your tracking status may not update for multiple days (or at all) until your package actually enters the shipping network and begins its transit to you. In rare cases, packages may not even update until shortly before delivery. Please be patient during this time, as we can assure your order was shipped, accepted and is on the way!
To assure genuine OEM quality and fitment, our replacement keys are selected from both new and overstock keyboard units. However, parts can also be removed from broken, damaged or previously used machines. In every case, we thoroughly inspect and clean each and every item before it is packaged for shipping to assure our customers receive the highest quality parts. While some keys (especially older or out of production models) can show minimal signs of wear such as small scuffs, scrapes, light shine or key wear, etc., no items are ever shipped that would be considered beyond their acceptable lifespan.
Unfortunately not. All of our products are packaged together as a full replacement kit. We do not offer any components separately at this time.
If your return has been rejected, it may be due to one or more of the following reasons:
- No RMA number provided on the return package
- Damaged, missing, incorrect or modified items sent back
- Package shipped to us with postage due
- Return form not included or missing information
- Order returned outside of the returns/exchange window

You may need to remove a damaged or worn keyboard key to examine the hinge type underneath for replacement. This process will vary for everyone and we provide a general guide to get you started. Check out our video tutorial for the most common key removal methods!
You’ll need to know which hinges are used on your keyboard in order to choose the correct part type. If your model is not currently missing any keys, you’ll need to remove one for self inspection or to submit an image to our support team. We suggest removing any alphanumeric (A-Z, 0-9) key, as these are the easiest.
We ship to many locations throughout the world! However, some countries may be excluded from our shipping locations for various reasons. If your country is not listed at checkout, we do not offer delivery services to your area.
If some of your keys are intermittent or unresponsive (e.g., sporadic or no display with certain keystrokes), our product will not correct the issue. For a majority of these instances, a full replacement keyboard will correct the problem. At this time, we do not offer entire replacement keyboards.

Yes! We work with electronic recyclers and keyboard suppliers to obtain parts from genuine units that are brand new, non-functional or otherwise unusable so they are guaranteed to fit, look and feel virtually identical to the original! None of our products are 3D printed or copies in any way. All laptop keys are removed from their respective models or keyboards supplied by the official manufacturers and are cleaned and inspected before packaging. We do not sell cheap, low quality or fake replacements!
We do not provide a warranty on any of our products. However, we will gladly accept returns or exchanges within 30 days of the original order for any purchases that are shipped back in undamaged condition!
Of course! Our replacement keyboard key kits are quick and easy to install. Installation takes only a few seconds to complete with our easy to follow Installation Guides. Even the most technically incapable person can install a replacement key!
Absolutely! All orders are shipped via USPS with tracking information included. Domestic packages can be tracked straight to your door! For international orders, tracking information may only be available until departure from US customs. Additional tracking information may not be available depending on the destination country. Only select countries will be able to track their parcels until delivery.
We currently do not accept purchase orders. All products must be purchased using the available payment methods we provide during checkout.
No way! Our replacement keys are genuine OEM replacements and will not void any warranty on your model! Our replacement parts are the exact same components that are on the original models. You’ll never be able to tell your key was even missing after completing your repair!
